Training on disciplinary responsibility of judges attended already by over 1,100 judges

To date well over 1,100 judges from general and special jurisdiction courts have attended the training on disciplinary responsibility of judges, organised by the Judicial Academy with the support of the Council and the Project, which accounts for more than 70% of the planned number of the judges who were earmarked for this training.

Namely, there were held 14 trainings in Belgrade, which were attended by 452 judges from all the appellate jurisdiction courts in Belgrade. Over the same period 5 trainings were held in Novi Sad, which saw a total of 189 judges from the appellate jurisdiction of Novi Sad. There were 7 trainings in Niš over the same period, with 216 judges from the appellate courts in Niš, and another 4 in Kragujevac with 113 judges from all appellate jurisdiction courts in Kragujevac.

The aim is to have 1,500 judges from all jurisdictions, from basic, higher and appellate courts, ranging to special jurisdiction courts – commercial, administrative, and misdemeanour ones – all the way to the Supreme Court of Cassation, participate in the trainings until the end of this year.

Most interestingly, since the trainings started being organised there has been immense interest among the judges, who, due to the positive feedback from their colleagues who have already attended the trainings, often wish to participate in the trainings at their own initiative.
